So it was the season finale for Miami will an excellent cliff-hanger. But this isn’t the place to go for a review of the merits of the show, but rather criticism of the forensics. So without further delay:
1) From across the street and a few floors up, someone with either a Glock G18, or more likely a Glock with a full auto modification, is able to put multiple shots (6 or more) into a prone person’s upper torso, all in just two bursts from an extra high cap magazine.
2) The cartridges used in #1 above were 40 year old soviet block cartridges with black powder as a propellant.
3) When the cartridge rolled off the table and it discharged due to impact with the ground (let’s allow that to happen for arguments sake — it can, it’s just very rare), it managed to propel the projectile vertically with enough velocity to break a light panel out of the ceiling. Usually when unsupported cartridges discharge, the casing will tear and peal away, resulting in minimal velocity in the projectile.
4) The fused allow bullets can tell the difference (by temperature) between an armored vest and remain intact, versus a “hot” body and fragment to become “more lethal”. If that’s true I want a box, please contact me so I can provide you with a delivery address so i can do some “forensic testing”.
But what’s up with Ryan? How did he and Caine stage that shooting? And who pulled the trigger? Heated bullet proof vest to fool the fused alloy bullets?
We’ll find out in a few months ehh?
