I must preface this entry admitting I am not a regular watcher of the NY franchise. This is probably the third episode I’ve ever watched, so I really don’t have any attachment to any of the characters at this point.

There wasn’t a lot in this episode for me to point out as being ridiculous, but I have to question the lab’s ability to identify the species of bird the bird feces in the water-logged tarp belonged to. Granted, I have never worked in a lab as big as NYPD’s is, but I’ve worked in one of this country’s largest municipal crime labs, have attended many scientific seminars, and now owning my own consulting firm have never been approached by a vendor offering a forensic bird species feces identification system.

But it’s so funny, it was worth it.
