CSI NY Episode #420 — “Taxi”

[ratings]
Incredible. Another great animal forensics show. So last week it was incredibly rare bird feces that broke the case, and this week it was someone eating white throated monkey meat, which lead to a case of monkey pox, and eventually a confession to the murder of a police officer.

But the best part of NY this week was Mac doing a Mario impression from the old Donkey Kong video game. There he was leaping up the stairs, while the Cabbie Killer was throwing barrels (kegs) down on him. The ONLY way this episode could have been better was if Mac had grabbed a huge wooden mallet and busted the barrel up.

My wife pointed out what makes NY different then the other CSI flavors. That being the huge logical leaps they make in solving the crime. Now I started being a Batman reader right around the death of Robin 2 (Jason Todd), so when Mac managed to pull the location of the the killer’s “office” out of Reed’s blog messages it didn’t bother me. But when they managed to piece together where Charon lived, based on Reed’s observations while in the trunk of the car, coupled with the candy corn factory smell, a gravel road, a billboard, and a shameless plug for Google Earth, it’s like they don’t even try to write this show for an intelligent audience.

I have to keep watching CSI NY, just to see how much and how often they insult the intelligence of their audience.
