Read the lat­est episode in the on-going Deputy Stoddard soap opera. Regardless of what each side says, it seems to me that Deputy Stoddard just might be a high pro­file pawn in an ongo­ing inter­nal polit­i­cal war inside Maricopa County.

Maricopa County Sheriff Deputy Stoddard Goes to Jail

Rather than apol­o­gize for his court-room shenani­gans, Deputy Stoddard reported for jail last night.

MCSO spokesper­son Douglas Matteson said Detention Officer Adam Stoddard self-surrendered at approx­i­mately 6 p.m. Tuesday and is now in a MCSO jail.

A judge had ordered Stoddard to apol­o­gize to a Phoenix attor­ney Monday night to avoid jail time, but he refused.

Stoddard was found in contempt
